Size & Condition Guide

Sizing

Every item will have it's orignal size on the label. Please bare in mind that a lot of our product comes from the US so a US 6 is actually a UK10 etc. Vintage sizing generally comes up smaller. We also select some mens clothing for the range. For every item we state the size on label but also our estimated UK size. All garments are measured flat and doubled. Garments with elasticated waists are measured unstretched.

From Shoulder tip to shoulder tip

Sleeve
From the underarm to the cuff

Bust
Armpit to Armpit, where bust is sculpted we may sometimes give an approximate cup meausrement.

Hip
The widest part of your hips at the top of your legs

Inside Leg
From the bottom of the hem to the top of the leg at the crotch - added fun, ask your boyfriend or girlfriend to help with this one.

Leg
From the top of the waistband to the crotch

Waist
Smallest part of the waist – some waists are elasticated, mesurement is taken unstretched.

Length
Dresses (straps) - from top of strap to bottom of hem
Dresses (halter and bandeau) - from top edge of back to hem
Dresses (collar) - from middle of back neck to bottom of hem
Jumpsuits - inside leg

Jackets
From middle of back neck to bottom of hem

T-shirts, jumpers and tracksuit tops are generally measured in S,M,L

Where possible we try to shoot our clothes on models closest to the actual size of the garment however sometimes it is necessary to pin garments – we will always indicate in description when this has been done.

Condition

We sell mostly vintage 80's and 90's clothing at Bitching and Junkfood however hot little numbers from other decades occasionally slip into the range – decade will always be indicated in the description.

We sell vintage(pre-worn clothing), customised vintage, dead-stock(old stock that is unused and has never been sold, ususally comes with labels on) and new. Vintage or pre-loved (clearly they didn't love it as much as us) is subject to more wear and tear than new. We aim to sell everything in mint condition however there are certain items that are too fantastic to pass up despite a couple of little endearing holes or tears. We will always highlight any flaws in description.

We would advise customers to wash all items before wear as we cannot guarantee that they are completely clean.
